Analytical Industries Inc was formed on December 13, 1993 by Frank S Gregus and Patrick J Prindible former executives of Teledyne's Analytical Instruments division. Dr Mohammad Razaq left Teledyne and joined the company in 1994. Dr Razaq studied fuel cell technology at the University of Southampton, England and Case Western Reserve in Ohio.
Together the principals of Analytical Industries Inc accumulated 60 years of experience with Teledyne in the field of oxygen analysis. A hands-on management approach honed their expertise in a myriad of industrial, personnel safety, environmental and medical applications. Customers benefit from a unique blend of expertise encompassing the development of the original galvanic fuel cell type oxygen sensor to the latest patents involving parts per billion oxygen and moisture sensors, solid electrolyte oxygen and hydrogen sensors.
Interfacing with customers identified the market's need for a better oxygen sensor in terms of performance, life and reliable quality. More importantly, it established the company's basic strategy for conducting business. Customer application needs are the source of input for product designs.
